Ian Keteku: International Development


Ian is a creative writing professor at the Ontario College of Art & Design University. He combines his passion for art with a commitment to social issues and international change. Known for his creative projects that bring awareness to global challenges through artistic expression, Ian has recently extended his expertise to international development projects at OCAD University.


In his role at ACT Education, Ian's unique blend of artistic insight and global perspective enriches our efforts to integrate educational programming. His experience in storytelling and engagement with film and media adds a rich layer to our approach in developing culturally resonant programs.


Ian's role is crucial in expanding our international scope, ensuring our educational initiatives are both impactful and widely accessible. His commitment to expressing and addressing societal issues through art and media aligns perfectly with our holistic approach to education.

Olivia Stricker: Co-Founder and Curriculum Development


As a co-founder and the Head of Curriculum Development at ACT Education, Olivia Stricker blends her innovative teaching methods with experience from both public and private education sectors. Her key contribution, a coding club for K-6 students, reflects her skill in making complex concepts like coding approachable and exciting for young learners.


Olivia's role in curriculum development is marked by her ability to craft educational strategies that are both academically robust and engaging, aiming to ignite curiosity and a love of learning in children. Her leadership in integrating technology into elementary education is pivotal in setting a foundation for future learning and innovation.


Her vision and dedication are central to ACT Education's mission, ensuring that our educational content is not only informative but also inspires the next generation of learners and thinkers.

Sarah Kucy: Impact Assessment and Ethics


Sarah Kucy holds a Master of Social Work and has an extensive background in non-profit organizations. With experience in child and youth development, she brings a deep understanding of community needs and program implementation.


She currently leads Impact Assessment at ACT Education, ensuring that policies and educational programs align with the highest ethical standards and reflect the organization’s core values. Known for her compassionate approach and strong problem-solving skills, she is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through thoughtful and strategic initiatives.


Sarah excels in developing strategies that enhance security and support at both local and international levels. Her work is transformative, focusing on making learning opportunities accessible and impactful. She plays a vital role in advancing ACT Education’s vision, strengthening its commitment to creating lasting change in communities worldwide.



Asare Richmond Yaw: Operations and Communications Lead


Yaw is a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of both the educational and operational initiatives. Holding a science degree, he combines academic expertise with hands-on experience, making him the ideal architect of STEM-focused programs. His background uniquely positions him to bridge the gap between education policy and practical execution, ensuring that ACT Education’s projects are both impactful and sustainable.


As an experienced project manager, Yaw has successfully led large-scale infrastructure projects, including construction and development initiatives. Beyond his technical skills, Yaw is an incredible communicator, adept at building relationships, mobilizing teams, and ensuring seamless project execution.


His servant-hearted leadership is the foundation of ACT Education’s operations, holding the vision together and driving its mission forward. His dedication, expertise, and unwavering commitment make him an invaluable pillar of the organization.
